Denver Nuggets: New Technology Brings the Game to Visually Impaired Fans (2026)

For visually impaired Denver Nuggets fans, the game at Ball Arena just got a whole lot more accessible. Thanks to a new technology called OneCourt, blind and low-vision fans can now track every pass, shot, and fast break through their fingertips. This groundbreaking innovation is changing the game for sports enthusiasts who were previously limited to listening to games on the radio. Julie Deaton, executive director of the Colorado Center for the Blind, was among the first fans in Denver to try this tactile broadcast technology during the Nuggets game against Atlanta on Friday night. Deaton has been a lifelong fan of the Denver Rockets and has always followed the NBA team through the radio. But with the new OneCourt device, she can now actively participate in the game, feeling the ball's position, pace, and movement through touch. This technology offers something she's never had before at a live game, allowing her to fully immerse herself in the experience. The Denver Nuggets, Ticketmaster, and OneCourt have teamed up to bring this tactile broadcast technology to every Nuggets home game this season. Five devices are available free of charge at each game on a first-come, first-served basis through Guest Services. This is a significant step forward in making sports more inclusive and accessible to all, and it's an exciting development for visually impaired fans everywhere.
