Unbeaten Home Stars: A Non-Issue for Semper Fi Coach
Semper Fi's head coach, Moses Adjin-Tettey, is unfazed by the fact that their opponents, Home Stars, have yet to taste defeat. In a recent interview, Adjin-Tettey emphasized that focusing on the opposition's record is not part of their preparation strategy.
The Semper Fi team is in high spirits after securing a 2-1 victory over Accra Great Olympics at the Teshie McDan Sports Complex. This success has set them up for a favorable position as they prepare to host the same venue as the home team this weekend. With three consecutive wins under their belt, they are determined to maintain their winning streak.
Home Stars, on the other hand, have managed to remain unbeaten, securing four draws and one victory. However, Adjin-Tettey remains focused on his team's performance, stating, 'We are taking our preparation one day at a time. We never focus on the opponent; we focus on how we are preparing for the league. It’s none of our business that they are unbeaten.'
Despite a few minor injuries within the team, Adjin-Tettey is confident in the squad's depth to handle the situation. He expressed high motivation and positive sentiments towards the fans, saying, 'The motivation is high, very positive. I love the fans every week. I appreciate them.'
Semper Fi's recent success against Home Stars, with an unbeaten record in their last four meetings, further fuels their determination to continue their winning streak. They are poised to extend this record on Saturday, showcasing their resilience and skill.
